About Padfield Community Spaces

Padfield Community Spaces was created in 2021 to protect and manage green spaces in Padfield, Derbyshire for the benefit of people and nature. Our initial efforts are concentrated on the purchase and transformation of Temple Street Field into an accessible green community space, thus protecting 'the green heart of Padfield'. You can read more about the story of Temple Street Field and how PCS came to be here.
Our People
We are governed by a small board of trustees and associates made up of local residents. We bring a range of experience from areas such as organisational governance, wildlife conservation, and events and communications. Above all, we are passionate about ensuring our village remains a haven for people and wildlife. Our Board has regular meetings and aims to hold regular members meetings and public events in the future.

More about Padfield
Padfield is a small village in High Peak, Derbyshire, on the west side of the Peak District National Park and near the town of Glossop.
Much of the village is part of a conservation area, which helps to maintain the natural beauty and local wildlife of the village so it can be enjoyed by both locals and visitors. Padfield is edged by beautiful countryside with easy access to the Longdendale Trail, a former railway line now used for walkers and cyclists alike, nestled in the stunning Longdendale Valley and the six reservoir chain that, when built, was the largest artificial expanse of water in the world.
